Currently, Madeline is completing a degree in communication with a concentration in digital journalism at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. Additionally, she is pursuing her minor in art.

While at JSU, Madeline has been involved in many journalism related groups and activities, but the most impactful position has been serving as the Editor-in-Chief at The Chanticleer, JSU’s student-run news outlet.

While at The Chanticleer, she has experience with writing features/news stories, managing/assisting editors and increasing social media engagement.

During the summer of 2024, Madeline completed an internship at the Citizen of East Alabama in Phenix City, Alabama. During her time there, she was able to practice her feature writing and news writing skills.
